The Mark X

The Mark X (Japanese: トヨタ・マークX) is a mid size automobile created by Toyota for the Japanese market. The Mark X was introduced in 2004 and is manufactured in Kanegasaki, Iwate, Japan。It is available with either a 253horsepower (189kW) 3.0 L or 212horsepower (158kW) 2.5 L GR series V6 engine. Both engines offer dual VVT-i (variable valve timing) with gasoline direct injection(Japanese models only). The rear-wheel drive models have a 6-speed automatic transmission as standard, and the all-wheel drive models have a 5-speed automatic.
The Mark X is the successor to the Mark II which was first introduced in 1968, was known in the North American market as the Corona Mark II starting in 1972 and the Cressida from 1977 to 1992 and was the predecessor to the introduction of Lexus. Although the vehicle features an impressive interior with quality that can be categorized as a luxury sedan, it is aimed at the middle market. The Mark X is not pronounced "Mark Ten" but "Mark ecks" (pronounced /ɛks/) though the Mark II is "Mark Two".
Minor changes were made in 2006. Mirror mounted turn signals replaces the fender mounted turn signal, and a redesign grille. Mark X with all black interior deleted the wood trim in favor of the brush aluminum trim. A formal introduction of the "S package" which gain the 3-spoke steering wheel and changes to the exterior lip piece.

NABE party good for winter season here in Japan...

Nabe (Japanese hot pot) dishes are often cooked in winter. Various ingredients are simmered in donabe (clay pot) or tetsunabe (iron pot) at dining tables. A pot is shared by some people, so prepare small bowls for each person at the table. Mizutaki is a simple nabe dish with chicken and vegetables.

This looks so delicious. I love soup and will definitely try this hotpot. It doesn't seem too difficult to cook plus the ingredients should be easy to find here. I agree with SushiTail. Hotpot is always good to bring people together. Everyone gets to eat the components we likes to most, you can negotiate with your client while waiting for food getting broiled….. The mizutaki reminds me of the good days when I used to get together with  my officemate work and had a good time. It's a perfect party food and it brings people together. ...

All of us wishing love to the world..... Japanese maid style like me....have fun and enjoy..

The Japanese Sake

Sake (pronounced /ˈsɑːkiː/ or /ˈsɑːkeɪ/ in English and [sake] in Japanese) is a Japanese alcholic beverage made from rice. This beverage is called sake in English, but in Japanese sake (酒) or o-sake (お酒) refers to alcoholic drinks in general. The Japanese term for this beverage is Nihonshu (日本酒), meaning "Japanese sake". Sake is also referred in English as rice wine. However, unlike true wine, in which alcohol is produced by fermenting the sugar naturally present in a fruit, sake is made through a brewing process more like that of beer.

Additionally, alcohol content also differs between sake, wine, and beer. Wine generally contains 9–16% alcohol and most beer is 3-9%, whereas undiluted sake is 18-20% alcohol, although this is often lowered to around 15% by diluting the sake to water prior to bottling.

In Japan, sake is served chilled at room temperature, or heated, depending on the preference of the drinker, the quality of the sake, and the season. Typically, hot sake is a winter drink, and high-grade sake is not drunk hot, because the flavors and aromas will be lost. This masking of flavor is the reason that low-quality sake is often served hot.

Sake is often consumed as part of Shinto purification rituals (compare with the use of grape wine in the Christian Eucharist). Those sakes, served to Gods as offering prior to drinking, are called Omiki or Miki (お神酒又は神酒). During World War II, kamikaze pilots drank sake prior to carrying out their missions.
In a ceremony called kagami biraki, wooden casks of sake are opened with mallets during Shinto festivals, weddings, store openings, sports and election victories, and other celebrations. Iwai-zake ("celebration sake"), is served freely to all to spread good fortune.

Enjoy Sake!

The autumn leaves with my latest car

This is a great day trip that I can take by my own car. And all i need is a good camera, good footware (no heels or flip-flops / thongs), some money (of course), and some mates. So I expect it to be a little cool and breezy. The autumn leaves there are spectacular. Before this, I love so much an autumn leaves, and especially thought it odd that men got excited about these. For me, it was a good Japanese experience, and a great photographic one, too. It’s autumn time now here in Japan after a humid summer. It is one of the best times in the year when one can enjoy cool weather, delicious food and great scenery.
In Kyoto leaves will start changing colors from mid November, and have a great chance to see these autumn foliage colors on the backdrop of beautiful temples and shrines. History and culture become one with the beauty of nature in the charm of Kyoto, where you will never tire of the changing seasons. I also have many chances to see Japanese festivals in Autumn.

Why buy a Japanese used car?

There are numerous models of cars launched by different companies. Different models are launched in different countries. At times, new car models present in your country do not suit your standards and your budget. The budget you have is limited but you also want comfort, safety and style at the same price. In such case you should look for imported models made in other countries, meaning you should buy an imported used car.

In imported used cars, the best loved are the Japanese used cars. By 'Japanese used cars' , this means that they were initially used by some Japanese owners and are then exported to different countries. Why do people like to buy these cars? The reason is simple and persuasive. The cars offer comparatively much better safety features and comfort and as the cars are used therefore they are also much cheaper as compared to new cars. And dont forget that these cars are of very high quality since Japan is globally known for being one of the leader when it comes to technology..

Japan "OBON" festival

Obon (お盆) or Bon (盆) is a Japanese Buddhist custom to respect deceased spirits of your own ancestors. During the Obon holiday, people return to ancestral family places and visit to pray and clean their graves. We set up a field fire to welcome those spirits in the evening of August 13 and we do the same to farewell spirits who are returning to the world of the dead on August 16. We also set up the household altars where returning spirits can revisit and rest during Obon.
