Japan rainy season begins from early May in Okinawa. In other prefectures, it begins from early June and ends in the middle of July, except Hokkaido. Japan rainy season is caused by the seasonal rain front which stays above Japan between tropical high pressure and Siberian cold high pressure. Since Northern part of Japan called Hokkaido does not have a rainy season, its weather tends to be nicer than other areas at this time.
