The only way music is going to help your plant grow faster is if you sing to it directly. Music from a radio or whatever does nothing. However, since we breath out CO2 then singing to your plant and singing often within close proximity will provide it with extra CO2 which is what plants need to photosynthesize light to produce energy and emit O2. This is why people say that talking to your plants is good for them. It's not that they can hear you, it's that they need the CO2 coming out of your mouth.
