Hugs For Love

So long as we love we serve;
So long as we are loved by others,
I would almost say that we are indispensable;
And no one is useless while they have a friend.

My Chopsticks Bra..

Chopsticks Bra was unveiled a few days ago by lingerie maker Triumph International Japan as a bid to promote the use of reusable chopsticks instead of the disposable ones. It is still a concept idea where the bra comes with a pair of chopsticks and creatively uses two bulging bowls of rice and miso soup as its cups. That way, the girls won’t forget to bring along their own chopsticks and not use the disposable ones.

Fashion Style in East Africa

Fashion Style in East Africa

The Anatomy of Kanga

Kanga is not just like any other rectangular piece of cloth, no matter how colourful it may be. It is an artifact of the Swahili culture and as such it should be designed with extreme care to appeal to its users. A poorly designed kanga, or one that fails to match the season doesn't deserve the name and the best it can be used for could be as a kitchen apron or a baby diaper.
Although the kanga design might differ slightly, a typical kanga in East Africa consists of a wider border (Swahili: pindo), the central motif (Swahili: mji), and the writing (Swahili: ujumbe or jina). You can see some of these features by looking at kanga pictures on this website.

So Last night I was reading my new Elle mag for the month of March and came across this new designer Max Osterweis, a 34-year-old screenwriter and film director from San Francisco whose clothing line is more inspired by his several trips he took to Kenya where his mother owns a house on Lamu island, Kenya.
His collection, Suno features cotton skirts, tops, fitted blazers, shorts, twisty headscarvesbikini, and shift dresses in vibrant prints made from East African kangas (printed cotton fabric) .He named his clothing line after his Mother and his designs cost from $95 for a bikini to about $595 for a tailored jacket or dress.
Many of the prints are printed with Swahili aphorisms that were originally worn to send messages to people such as “Watch your roosters, there’s a new hen in town.” or “The day a monkey is destined to die, all trees get slippery.”

FACES OF MYANMAR

Myanmar people proved to be outrageously friendly and kind. The smiles of Myanmar people last long in the visitor’s memory and become the major attraction and attachment to its people, may be the smiles through which you come to know better each other. The people in Myanmar look upon you with friendly eyes, and when the eyes meet, warm smiles spread over all of your faces. Their shy, yet, kind personalities mix together to create an environment of curiosity and, as a result, they are open to conversation and cultural exchange. Your smiles will return to you in quadruple in every village, town, and city you visited.

How to Fix Computer Clock Problems

Is your PC giving you heartburn? Are programs acting funny? Is the Clock gaining or losing time? Is the Calendar on your computer showing the wrong day? The answer to these headaches could be quite simple so let's explore.

Keep Time. Throw Away The Dead Battery.

1. Turn off your computer and unplug it from the wall.

2. Avoid contact with anything else electrical. Best is to wear rubber soul shoes and don't shuffle around too much so that you don't transmit static electricity to anything inside your computer.

3. Remove the Cover according to the manual. Be careful that you don't bend or force anything. Lay the computer on it's side with the Mother Board facing up.

4. Look for the battery. Depending on what model PC you have, there maybe different types of batteries but typically it will be a Lithium and they're pretty easy to spot on the Mother Board. It looks like a shiny Nickel simply mounted on the Board.

5. Pry the Battery out. Use a small flat head screw driver to gently pry it out. If you can get a finger nail on it, there's usually a tiny spring loaded tab to push aside while you pry it out.

6. Determine the type of Battery. Check the model number and voltage of the Battery so you will know what to replace it with. Lithium Batteries look very much alike but can have different characteristics.

7.Snap the new Battery in. Place it with the small circle side down and just give it a little push. It should snap right in to it's holder.

8.Replace the PC Cover and plug the power cord back in

9. Boot up your PC. You may get some warnings that "Settings have changed." Most computers will start back up with the default Date and Time. Just click on your Clock Manager or right click the Clock on your Tool Bar to reset the day and time to current.

10. Stay up to date. There's an "Internet Time" tab under "Properties." Check that so your computer will sync with the internet for your time. Now everything should run smoother assuming that the Clock was the problem in the first place!
