Fastest Land Animal

Cheetah

Physical Characteristics
The cheetah is the world’s fastest land animal. Over short distances, it can sprint up to 70 miles per hour. Built for speed, it has long, slim, muscular legs, a small, rounded head set on a long neck, a flexible spine, a deep chest, special pads on its feet for traction and a long tail for balance. It is also the only cat that cannot retract its claws, an adaptation to help maintain traction like a soccer player’s cleats. Distinctive black "tear tracks" running from the inside corner of each eye to the mouth may serve as an antiglare mechanism for daytime hunting.
Habitat
Cheetahs are found in open and partially open savannas.
Behavior
The cheetah is basically a solitary animal. At times, a male will accompany a female for a short while after mating, but most often the female is alone or with her cubs. Cheetah mothers spend a long time teaching their young how to hunt. Small live antelopes are brought back to the cubs so they can learn to chase and catch them.
Cheetahs do not roar like lions, but they purr, hiss, whine and growl. They also make a variety of contact calls - the most common is a birdlike chirping sound.

The Sailor Who Fell from Grace with the Sea

The novel chronicles the story of Ryuji, a sailor with vague notions of a special honor awaiting him at sea. He meets a woman called Fusako with whom he falls deeply in love, and he ultimately decides to marry her. Fusako's 13-year-old son, Noboru, is in a band of savage boys who believe in "objectivity", rejecting the adult world as illusory, hypocritical and sentimental.
As Ryuji begins to draw close to Fusako, a woman of the shore, he is eventually torn away from the dreams he's pursued his entire life. Fusako's son, Noboru, who shares an especially close bond with his mother through a voyeuristic ritual, hates the idea of losing his mother to a man who has let his hope and freedom die. This anger and fear of loneliness translates into terrible, savage acts performed by Noboru and the gang of which he is a part.

Computer sound problem?

Try checking this simple Solution:

Check the cord in the back of the computer to see if the speakers are plugged into the computer. There are usually three (3) port at the back panel of your PC.  Most times the speaker outlet is the one with a green color in the middle of those three port.  Plug in your speaker cable and then try adjusting the volume control (the speaker icon) on the task bar. Clicking on the sliding tab should make a sound.

1.     Some speakers have a power plug .Check to see if the power cord to the speakers is plugged in and the power light on the speakers is on.
2.     Click once on your Volume icon on your task bar.  Move the sliding bar up and see if you can hear anything.   The problem could be the volume is too low.
3.     Double click on the volume icon and the volume control box appears.  Make sure the MUTE button at the bottom is not checked.
