Feature Car for today
The VANGUARD was put on the market as new SUV of the medium class in August, 2007. An active & luxury put the point on the design, driving pleasure, and all-round and the large number of people getting on, and was developed by the development concept though was able to say the long body version of RAV4.
The externals design was assumed to be an answer to an active, urban lifestyle though left the image of RAV4. The interior expresses the heigh quality in a upper grade by adopting the seat epidermal of genuine leather & Alcantarra besides bronze tone ornament and chrome plating processing is adopted everywhere.
As for the body, the total length becomes 235mm longer compared with RAV4, and the wheelbase has been extended by 100mm. As a result, the seat of getting on of 3row 7people besides getting on of 5people was prepared as for each grade.
The installing engines are two models (straight4 2.4L (125kW/224N･m) and V6 3.5L (206kW/344N･m)). Super-CVT-i is combined with straight4, and super-ECT at 5velocities is combined with V6. All cars and active torque controls 4WD are adopted, and the emphasis control with S-VSC is done. 2WD car is not set. Hill start assistance control & downhill assistance control is a standard in all cars. A high enhancement degree is read in the whole as three point expression seat belt and the headrest are prepared also at the safety equipment and the center of the rear seat besides SRS side & curtain air bag.
