The message "Ganbarou Nippon" ('Hang in there, Japan') can be seen numerous occasions across Japan. Tenjin Festival, for instance, is one of the three biggest festivals in Japan, and has 1000 years of its history. In this festival, a fleet of more than 100 boats float along the river, decked with beautiful lanterns at night. This year(July 24-25), the slogan "Ganbarou Nippon" were everywhere beside the boats, showing sympathies and encouragement to all the people in the affected areas.
Nadeshiko Japan, national women's soccer team also inspires people in Japan. They displayed the Japanese flag with the slogan after the final game which absolutely cheers Japanese society in a very difficult period of time.
Japanese people are also trying to empower own people by expressing their guts and support in many ways.
